Our Philosophy

Don Bosco FA desires to foster children’s innate ability to do what they are taught and encouraged to practice every day; to be creative and innovative both individually and collectively. Children will be taught football through fun and engaging technical and tactical training sessions organized in a manner to ensure success for each individual player and team. The training sessions will focus highly on games and activities that allow the individual player maximum number of physical touches with the ball. This will encourage the individual to explore creatively and experiment in a manner that is conducive to the maximum development of his/her potential.  A Player Development Curriculum consisting of five stages has been developed for this purpose. Each stage focuses on attaining specific goals, which in turn ensures the progress of each player. The individual will be the prime focus and the team the secondary focus. The academy focuses on the principles of play rather than the tactics and systems of play. This ensures a more focused approach for individual player development, which in turn ensures individual and team success.
